Marge's Story
My problems started when my husband and I got married in 1997. I was diagnosed with endometriosis exactly two months to the day after we got married. They told me after having the second surgery done in June of 1999 that I might never be able to get pregnant.
Well to our surprise we got pregnant in March of 2000. We had given up all hope of ever getting pregnant. Well the doctor put me on bed rest because of the endometriosis. We went in for our ultrasound in June to find out the sex they found a problem so they sent me to a specialist. The baby was filled with fluid from head to toe. They gave the baby a week to live. Well I wouldn't let it happen. I tried everything even some herbs nothing helped. A week later they could not find a heartbeat. After twenty one hours of labor I delivered a little girl Darcy Jo Lopardo 15 ounces and 9inches long. They later found out through a autopsy that she had fetal hydrops and turner syndrome.
It was very hard to go on but by the grace of God and my families love and support We got through it. I then became pregnant again by accident three months later I had a miscarriage. Well it took a long time to recover from both times of loss. Then I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in June of 2002. I was in the hospital for two weeks with it and a couple of months later I found out that I was pregnant in August of 2002. The doctors said that because of the extra strain of the pregnancy that I had to stay on all of my meds. That meant Prednisone. Well through out my pregnancy I had to take pain killers which I know it couldn't have been very good for the baby but the doctor was ok with it. We had an ultrasound done in March 25 and everything was fine. The next day the baby hadn't moved at all and I was becoming worried so we went to the hospital and they could find no heartbeat. I couldn't believe it. When the doctor had left the room We called our parents I can still hear my mothers voice crying saying she was sorry. Isaac Wesley Lopardo was born March 27 2003. He weighed 6.5 lbs and he was 19 inches long. To this day I still have not went in the nursery. I know God will help us through it once again
God Bless, Marge
